It is a country where many civilizations replaced one another – from Tassili in the South, 5000 years before the Egyptian Pharaons, then the ancient Ksours (Fortresses) of the Desert, with it’s architecture, witnessing of the art of the African civilization, to the littoral in the North, where Numidians, Berbers, Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Spaniards, Ottomans, French lived, leaving the traces as a legacy to Algeria, it is considered as a priceless multi civilization treasury.

Algeria is a country of landscapes as well as different cultures, which makes it a very rich and an interesting place to visit.
The beginnings of the civilisation in Algeria go back to more than 10.000 years.
Speaking of the beauty and uniqueness of the country, it in necessary to mention the ” Tassili “, which is the world’s biggest open air museum, then the ” Ahaggar ” and the Saharan Atlas mountains that guard the art of the people who lived in the prehistoric era, with pictures and engravings well preserved, thanks to which we’re able to see their way and conditions of living, as well as their environment.
“Sahara”, the Desert, will simply delight you with its sand dunes, palm trees, and “Oueds” (dry river banks), along with the people who live there and their culture.
The North of Algeria is known by the tell Atlas mountains covered with snow the forests and valleys, as well as river banks and the seaside.They all give fabulous and fascinating pictures of landscapes, protected within the national parks which preserve the richness of fauna and flora.
Besides, there are seven cultural sites in Algeria declared by UNESCO as a world heritage.
UNESCO is considering to take into protection some other sites in Algeria, like the “Ahlil”, in the region of Timimoune,with its tradition and culture.
Not only the beauty of the nature makes Algeria a very interesting destination with invaluable richness, but also a’cultural diversity of the Berbers and the arabs, their customs and traditions which can be seen throughout the country-from the North to the South.
